In this tutorial, I’ll be showing you how to delete your Netflix viewing activity.
As a Netflix subscriber, you’ve probably watched a lot of movies and TV shows, but sometimes you have watched something you would rather not appear in your viewing history. Now there’s a simple way to remove the unwanted viewing activity from your Netflix account.
You will have to use a web browser to manage your Netflix profile. Sadly, even if you use a Netflix App on a phone or tablet, when you tap on the link to open the account details. It will take you to your default browser window. If you are an Android user that means Chrome, and if you are an iPhone user that means Safari. For this tutorial I will be using a Windows 10 PC, but you can still do this on a web browser from an iPhone or Android device.
From the desktop, head to Netflix.com and click on your profile name to access the dropdown menu. Click “Your Account” to view your account settings. Now scroll down to the “My Profile” section and click on “Viewing activity”. Here, you will see a complete list of all your viewing activity. When you want to remove something from the list, simply click the “X” to the right of each item.
If this is the first time deleting your Netflix activity, then the list could be very long. The good news, Netflix will not ask you to confirm if you want to remove the title or not. This means you should be able to delete as much of your viewing history fast.
It can take up to 24 hours for the content to be removed from all your devices, but don’t worry, it should not take anywhere near that time. As for Netflix.com, the deleted activity will disappear almost immediately.
